Liferaft emergency manual conversion kit £118.87

Emergency liferaft conversion kit

In an emergency, a Waterlog can be used by hand in a liferaft. No tools are required. To convert to hand operation, three spring loaded pins are pushed in releasing the main drive assembly - this is discarded. A replacement is readily available on-line from the factory. The emergency handle assembly is pushed into the Waterlog body where its own spring loaded pins snap into place. It is instantly ready for use.

The watermaker never comes aboard or into the liferaft - when not in use, it hangs below the liferaft on its lanyard. Accordingly, it does not take up any precious space in the raft, In use, it is raised level with the bouyancy chamber with the bottom of the watermaker submerged.
Note that the small drinking water output tube is long enough to reach the mouth of every person in a raft. In the event of someone being incapicated, another person can make water and deliver it directly to the mouth of the patient.
Output depends on use of the handle, cleanliness of the membrane and water temperature. A typical approximation would be a mouth of water every 20 to 30 seconds. Strongly recommended for any vessel going offshore.
